Photo Album
Here is a simple photo album we wrote with PHP. It displays random photos, automatically creates thumbnails and has a search facility.
PHP is an open source programming language and is probably the most widely used language for dynamic web sites.
Web hosting that offers a combination of PHP and MySQL tends to be cheaper than ASP and for example Microsoft Access so although development costs may be similar, the annual charge may be less.
Most of our recent applications have been written in PHP and our content management system now uses PHP too.
